Electronic Travel Application: They have an app and prefer you apply through it. I tis in the App Store labeled "UK ETA Home Office" and it is free. 

To apply on the app you will need to take a photo of yourself - if you're applying for someone else, they must be with you the passport you will use to travel to the UK
a credit card, debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay

When traveling you do not need to print their confirmation - nor do you need the email. It is attached to your passport number and when you proceed through Border Control they will have it, if you completed it.

Once you pay your $12.97 fee and submit your application, the UK Visas & Immigration Home Office will email you a confirmation of the received request being processed. Chris and I received ours in the same day but it can be up to three business days.

This visa is valid for 6 months so you should complete this in April or May. That way, if you are traveling after our wedding, your Visa will be valid through September.

Each person must apply separately.

Unfortunately, there are no direct flights to Glasgow International from Boston. However, both Delta Airlines and JetBlue do offer non-stop service to Edinburgh, which is just over an hour away from Glasgow, over three to Portpatrick.

We have flown from Boston using IcelandAir, with a short layover in Reykjavik, and our luggage is checked straight through to Glasgow, making it easier and less chaotic than changing planes in Heathrow or Dublin and having to re-check your bags.

You can fly however you prefer but don’t hesitate to ask Stacey, Chris or the Dunskey Team any questions you may have before make your arrangements.

If you have not already booked your plane tickets, we suggest that you do this as soon as possible.

First Bus: a double decker purple bus. Seats are $_ that runs every 15 min. Travel time is about 20 min

When the #500 comes off the Motorway onto Bothwell Street, it makes two stops, you want the second stop.
There, look diagonally across to your right, and you will see the ornate voco Grand Central Hotel on the opposite corner from you.
A taxi will be £35-40.

There is an App but watch the video to learn more. 

If you arrive at Glasgow Int'l, once you have departed customs, you will exit left out of the Main terminal and follow the sidewalk, going through a covered walkway to rental cars. The sidewalk is wonky.

Smaller is better on these wee roads and remember you are driving on the opposite side of the road.

If you are flying into Edinburgh, taking a train or bus to Glasgow is an option.

From Edinburgh Airport take the tram (Cable Car) to Haymarket and then train to Glasgow Queen St. From Queen St to voco Grand is about an 10 min walk.  ScotRail: Download the app and book tickets. According to our friend Tracey, who lives locally she says, "that way it's easier."

Also there is a 24 hour shuttle service running every 30 minutes. The CityLink Bus from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station. Then it is a 15 min walk to the voco. 

You can fly to Belfast. Then there is the Stena Superfast ferry, similar to taking the fast ferry from Boston to P-town. Travel time is approximately 2 hr 20min.

Once you dock in Cairnryan, a car can be hired to drive you to Dunskey. Just coordinate with the Dunskey Team to confirm details and plans.
