Before the wedding, August 23-27 at InterContinental Edinburgh The George guests can call the hotel to make individual reservations by quoting a unique reference code "WA1". They classify their hotels with 2, 3, and 4 stars. But their standards are not ours... just because it says 4 stars is not a good indicator of quality. We recommend the following:
We have stayed at the Clayton. Clean, lovely staff and basic. Walkable to the voco.
The Kimpton Blythswood Square & Spa is lovely, more formal and not a far walk to the voco.
The Dakota is also a lovely contemporary alternative also walkable to the voco.
If you want a little luxury in the Westend, One Devonshire Gardens by the Hotel du Vin is an ideal spot! This gorgeous historic space has beautifully restored row houses that make up one large hotel. The restaurant is very memorable too!
